 Blueberry Chia Jam Recipe

Prep Time: 5 minutes | Cook Time: 15 minutes | Cool Time: 1 hour | Total Time: 1 hour 20 minutes Servings: 16

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 quart fresh organic blueberries

  • ¼ cup maple syrup

  • 2 tbsp chia seeds

INSTRUCTIONS

 1.     In a medium saucepan, add the blueberries and the maple syrup. Bring the saucepan to low/medium heat. As the blueberries begin to soften, stir them well to blend their juices and the syrup.

 2.     Bring the mixture to a slow simmer. Continue to stir over low heat for 10 to 15 minutes, breaking up the berries. Remove the jam from the stovetop and stir in the chia seeds. Stir together and set aside to cool for 1 hour.

3.     Refrigerate for another hour or so and your jam will be chilled, and the extra liquid will be absorbed by the chia seeds to make the jam thicker. Enjoy!

Note: This jam keeps for 1-2 weeks depending on the freshness of your berries.
