If you shop for beauty products a lot (or even a little), you know the skin care, makeup and hair care industries don’t typically offer any sort of amazing sale on a consistent basis. Sure, there’s the clearance end caps at Target or a special promotion here and there at Ulta, but to get high quality, brand name products for less doesn’t happen all that often.
So, when Sephora’s Beauty Insider sale rolls around, you stop whatever you’re doing, check your bank account, and head to the store or fill up an online shopping basket as big as you’d be able to carry. From April 26 to May 6, Sephora offers storewide discounts to its Beauty Insider members that seriously seem to good to be true.
But before you assume everything is fair game and head into your shopping trip Hunger Games style, there’s a few things you should know about the sale and who-gets-what in terms of a discount. AKA, don’t let the flashy 20 PERCENT OFF EVERYTHING email subject headers fool you just yet.
First, to get 20 percent off for the entire duration of the sale, you need to be a VIB member at Sephora with Rouge status. VIB = Very Important Beauty Insider, and Rouge status means you spend a minimum of $1,000 per calendar year at Sephora (online in the U.S., Canada, and via JCPenney Sephora stores all count).
VIB Rouge status members can use the code HEYROUGE to receive 20 percent off everything at Sephora for the entire duration of thee sale. Yeah, 20 percent off everything. For 10 days.
A regular VIB (someone who spends at least $350 per year) will get 15 percent off everything from May 2 to May 6, and the Beauty Insider (someone who spends any dollar amount) can enjoy 10 percent off everything from May 2 to May 6. All of these levels are ah-mazing considering an entire percentage sale off of everything is a rare moment in the world of beauty that should definitely be seized.
OK, now that we got the rules out of the way, we’re almost ready to shop. If there’s something you’ve been saving for or waiting to go on sale, this is your chance to add it to the basket and snag it. Here are 10 products we are totally buying during Sephora’s Beauty Insider Sale.
