Despite knowing you’re supposed to make predominantly vegetable smoothies, every now and again I make a delicious Berry Smoothie for a sweet hit.

This one has a twist with a little nut butter for added protein. I blended up blackberries, raspberries, the juice of a whole lemon, a handful of blueberries, a pear, a sprinkle of Chia seeds, half a teaspoon of almond butter, and some Tapped Birch Water with Bilberry & Lingonberry.

Why the berry love? All the berries are full of Antioxidants which help your body fight free radicals and protect your cells from damage. The Anthocyanins & quercetin in berries help to slow age-related memory-loss. The Chia Seeds expand in your stomach to keep you fuller for longer.  Andddd the vitamin C–rich berries will contribute to radiant skin and healthy hair, so the more you can squeeze in the better.
