Gluten-Free Almond Apple Bread

This healthy Almond Apple Bread is delightfully gluten-free, moist and tender, and perfectly crispy on the outside. It’s loaded with Autumn flavors and makes your kitchen smell like the perfect fall afternoon. Enjoy your bread with almond butter, maple cream, or apple butter! 

Almond Apple Bread Recipe

Prep Time: 10 minutes | Cook Time: 50 minutes | Total Time: 60 minutes | Servings: 1 bread loaf

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup almond flour

  • 1/3 cup arrowroot powder

  • 2 tbsp coconut flour

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • ¼ tsp nutmeg

  • ¼ tsp cardamom

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • 2 flax eggs

  • ¼ cup coconut oil, melted

  • ½ cup maple syrup

  • ½ cup applesauce (use your easy homemade sauce)

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 apple, peeled and chopped

  • 2 tbsp coconut sugar

INSTRUCTIONS

 1.     Preheat the oven to 350. Grease your bread load pan with coconut oil and set aside.

 2.     In a medium bowl, combine the almond flour, arrowroot powder, coconut flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, and salt. Set aside.

 3.     In a small bowl, whisk together the flax eggs, coconut oil, maple syrup, applesauce and vanilla. Add to the dry mix of flour. Fold in the chopped apples.

 4.     Pour bread mixture into the loaf pan. Sprinkle coconut sugar over the top. Bake for 50-55 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool for 10-15 minutes, or completely cooled through to prevent sticking and crumbling.

 5.     Slice and enjoy with applesauce, apple butter or enjoy on it’s own!
