Spring Almond Flour Pizza Recipe
Prep Time: 10 minutes | Cook Time: 20 minutes | Total Time: 30 minutes | Servings: 2
INGREDIENTS
Almond Flour Pizza Crust:
1 cup almond flour
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp dried oregano
½ tsp dried basil
½ tsp Himalayan salt
1 pastured-raised egg (or vegan flax egg)
1 tbsp olive oil
Toppings (your choice):
Arugula
Goat cheese
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Begin making the crust. In a large bowl, combine the almond flour, baking powder, garlic powder, oregano, basil, and salt. Whisk together. Add the egg and olive oil, then combine into dough.
3. Transfer to the parchment paper and roll out or use your hands to press the dough into a flat circle-ish pizza. Bake the crust for 10 minutes.
4. Once the crust is finished, you can add your favorite toppings. If you are sticking with the spring theme, add the pesto and goat cheese, and top with arugula later. Otherwise, add your tomato sauce, cheese, and toppings. Bake for another 10 minutes until bubbly.
5. Slice the pizza and serve warm! This serves 1-2 adults, so double or triple your recipe for more!
