Turmeric Tonic To Boost Your Immune system
By: Barb Biagioli
While turmeric offers a plethora of health benefits year-round, it is particularly helpful at this time of year – on the heels of the holidays and in the midst of sickness season. A wonderful way to boost the immune system and detox, this tonic is best made when you are anticipating a cold coming on. You can also enjoy this tonic first thing in the morning before you have breakfast, or if you need to destress, detox, or rev up your digestion.
This tonic is healing and warming, comforting on cold days. Don’t skimp on the black pepper in this drink – it activates the health properties in the turmeric and is crucial for optimal absorption! Add a bit more water to your taste, or a tad more maple syrup to sweeten things up a bit.
